Danielle Gainey, RDH, BS, is a dental hygienist currently residing in Portland, Oregon. She is originally from the beautiful state of South Carolina and moved to the Pacific Northwest in January 2021. Danielle graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Winthrop University in 2012. She then went on to pursue dental hygiene at York Technical College in Rock Hill, South Carolina, graduating summa cum laude in 2016. While enrolled in the dental hygiene program, she served as president of the Student American Dental Hygienists’ Association (SADHA) for the state of South Carolina in 2016. Danielle currently holds her dental hygiene license in the states of South Carolina, North Carolina, and Oregon. Danielle is enthralled by the practice of dental hygiene and believes in serving as both a clinician and advocate for patients. She is passionate about patient comfort and educating on the oral-systemic link. In her free time, Danielle enjoys writing, traveling, walks with her Yorkie, Nugget, and watching Carolina football with her partner, Josh.
